This elaborate system was designed to show the replacement of a heart valve as well as how it performs. A crystal clear heart was sectioned with a removable myocardia for access. A full-flow system was incorporated and manual pulsation was generated using an in-line bilge pump. The system also had a semiautomatic drain and fill system. To witness the valve in action a camera and flat screen was added and jacks were made available for large-screen viewing. All on 12 volts for safety while in operation. The entire system was made portable for easy transportation.
